Hatfield Structural Repair

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

Two foundation walls in this basement had started to crack and push

inward

in this home.

Working with a structural engineer, we installed steel posts to sure up the walls and prevent any fur

ther movement of

the walls. The posts are secured in a saw cut grove

in the concrete and bolted into

the floor joists.

Forms were then put in place and concrete poured in place between the post and wall.

Whitemarsh Basement Remodel

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

This was an extensive basement renovation that took place in two stages.

The first stage involved remodeling the existing builder grade finished basement.

The customer wanted a “pub” like entertaining space.

We installed

st ained w

ainscoting with a custom drink ledge around much of the basement.

A new gas fireplace was installed in a custom mantle trimmed with granite.

Also a  flat screen TV was also mounted above the fireplace.

New ceiling tiles were also installed to give the ceiling a “tin pan” look.  The second stage involved finishing a portion of unfinished basement to make a children’s playroom and a wet bar area.

The wet bar included Kraftmaid cabinets, drawer dishwasher and under-cabinet lighting.
